This worked. You literally saved an entire family’s lives and the life of a student.
When something catastrophic really could have happened, very quickly, we realized it was a really serious situation, that there was threat of harm to that student, herself and to her family.
But certainly (it was) a situation where we needed to act. We needed to get her help, we needed to get her support.
It was flagged because of Alongside. That wasn’t a student that went to the counselor. It wasn’t a student that anybody foresaw any problems or concerns.
She was having an internal struggle that nobody was aware of.
