Katie Neal leads the communications and marketing program at TimelyCare. As a strategic communications professional with nearly 20 years of experience and a specialty in higher education, her proven track record includes building trusting relationships with journalists, developing award-winning communications campaigns, and delivering high-impact results.
Previously, Katie led the PR function at Wake Forest University as AVP of News & Communications. In addition to telling stories that advanced the mission of the university and navigating many of higher education’s most sensitive issues, she also drove the media relations strategy for a billion-dollar capital campaign, spearheaded the public rollout of its STEM-centric urban campus, and managed the high-profile media presence for Maya Angelou’s memorial service, which was nationally broadcast from campus.
A former broadcast journalist, Katie has also served as a sought-after communications consultant and worked at PR agencies in Sacramento, Calif., San Francisco, Singapore, and Winston-Salem, N.C. She has a B.A. in communication from Wake Forest University and serves on the board of the PRSA Thoroughbred Chapter in Lexington, Ky.
